About the Role
We are seeking an organized and proactive Assistant Manager, Human Resources to support our HR department in various functions while working closely with the HR Manager. • A solid technical background with hands-on experience or comprehension of software development and web technologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, coupled with a willingness to dive into tasks.

• Responsible for an annual revenue target to be executed / developed through new business in the year.  
• Work together with Vertical Leaders / Customer Success Teams and independently identifying and addressing client’s business issue or project brief, with the support from the technical teams proposing the right & relevant solution (i.e. type of consumer study, data collection approach, research design, timeline and investment). The purpose of the HR Manager role is to lead and execute people strategies that drive employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and business growth. This role is pivotal in integrating HR initiatives across various functions to ensure a cohesive and impactful people management approach. Through strategic leadership and firsthand guidance, this role will translate Country People Strategies into local actions, provide HR advice to leaders, and foster an environment where IKEA's values are a living reality. As a key contributor to both the Store Management Team and the Country People Group, the HR Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the business and people growth of IKEA Malaysia.

• Lead the Store HR team and serve as a key contributor to the Store management team, providing HR subject matter expertise and strategic guidance.
• Translate the Country People Strategy and Ikano Retail principles into an actionable local HR plan to establish IKEA as the employer of choice.
• Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, focusing on:
  • Developing and implementing a local recruitment strategy to ensure a diverse talent pool that aligns with the store's Primary Market Area demographics.
  • Managing succession planning and talent development, including creating development programs for high-potential employees.
  • Fostering a continuous learning and development culture using the IKEA learning staircase model.
  • Implementing effective onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Ensure competitive and fair remuneration practices to attract and retain talent while managing staff costs in line with targets and budgets.
• Lead salary review processes and utilize HR data analytics to optimize related processes, such as payroll, timekeeping, and staff planning.
• Implement and analyze employee surveys (VOICE) and assist functions in translating results into actionable improvement plans.
• Promote knowledge sharing, internal mobility, and a commitment to Ikano Retail's overall success across the organization.
• Develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a more inclusive workplace.
• Ensure compliance with national labor laws, regulations, and agreements while maintaining positive relationships with unions and works councils, where applicable.

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, collaborating closely with the sales and marketing teams, and different business units.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their energy needs and providing tailored solutions to several geographical markets.
• Work closely with engineering teams to customize energy storage solutions based on client requirements and project specifications, like a Product Manager.
• Prepare detailed proposals, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and capabilities of our energy storage solutions.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
• Support project implementation by coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful deployment and integration of energy storage systems.
• Front deal structuring, quotations and all other proposal development activities.
• Work with Marketing department to develop new strategy in the business proposal and added services for business growth.
• Responsible for full-fledged activities inclusive of Sales & Marketing and Customer Service Support.
• Act as the bridge between clients and the internal project development team to understand commercial and technical needs per customer requirements.
• Provide technical support for review/preparation of proposals, including customer meeting during project development stage.
• Lead on project budget control with detailed BQ understanding and possible cost improvement with value engineering for C&I projects.
• Participate in project tendering task force team to lead on commercial part for tender submission.

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Engineering preferably Electrical or Renewable Energy (RE) industry

• Preferably 2 years and above experience in RE Industry and/or Energy Storage (BESS) business
• Good communication skills   
• Strong commercial and technical understanding of the RE business
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively within tight deadlines
• Based in Malaysia office, but willing to travel/relocate for projects across Southeast Asia countries
