Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain employee records in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Address any labor law violations, managing the hotel’s relationship with legal advisors when needed.
  • Provide regular HR reports to senior management regarding staffing, turnover, and employee performance.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
• Certifications: HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Skills:Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience with HR software (HRIS) and employee scheduling tools.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a HR Manager. The HR Manager will be responsible for

managing and overseeing the full spectrum of human resources and administration

operations, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

Responsibilities:

• To manage all full spectrum of HR & admin related activities including payroll, recruitment, compensation, career development, performance, management, training, personnel affairs policies and etc.
• To manage and review the overall recruitment process through effective manpower planning and recruiting strategies.
• To plan, implement and monitor HR systems including employees’ attendance, medical leave, annual leave, absenteeism and others
• To handle employee counselling, grievance and disciplinary matters.
• To monitor HR policies & procedures and ensure that they are implemented and enforced in accordance to HR policies and operations.
• To maintain online HR systems and processes
• Manage other office administrative functions

Qualifications:

• Possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business studies, Administration/Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR or equivalent.
• Well-versed in domestic labour legislation and familiar with HR practices and procedures.
• Knowledge and experience in regional (countries in ASEAN) is an advantage.
• Good understanding of Employment Act 1955 and other employment regulations.
• Proactive and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and leadership skills
• Well organized and able to handle multiple tasks in systematic manner
• Proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin
• Strong belief in confidentiality and best interest to Company policy.

About the Role
We are seeking an organized and proactive Assistant Manager, Human Resources to support our HR department in various functions while working closely with the HR Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and other HR operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the company’s workforce. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of HR processes.

• Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and managing onboarding for new hires.
• Support employee relations activities by addressing employee concerns, assisting with conflict resolution, and maintaining positive work culture.
• Manage and update employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Assist in the administration of performance management systems, including evaluations, feedback sessions, and development plans.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives to ensure continuous employee growth. Support payroll processing and benefits administration.
• Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in HR projects as required, including employee engagement surveys and wellness programs.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations within the organization.
• Provide administrative support to HR management, including preparing reports, handling inquiries, and managing HR documentation.
