Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Perform PFA generalist job, i.e. XSEM, Construction Analysis, Chemical & other within timeline independently.
• Perform PFA specialist job, i.e. SEM/EDX, FIB, PFA Flow, delayering, AFM/SCM, etc. within timeline independently.
• Support high impact jobs for IFKM (mainly) and IFX (globally) independently and being FA representative during the meeting.
• Deliver a comprehensive, conclusive and good quality results and report for problematic wafers/samples which leading to root cause investigation.
• Provide technical guidance in multiple Fields of Knowledge to Engineers, Assistant engineers and lab technicians pertaining to defect analysis.
• Provide on job training for junior engineers.
• Demonstrate medium of mental, analytical skills and problem solving.
• Ability to evaluate the problems and provide the solution.
• Responsible for assigned KPI and tool, outsource job support to IFX or external lab and wafer/sample shipment arrangement to IFX / external lab.
• Ensure correct quotation provided by external lab.
• Ensure the results provided by external lab is within committed timeline.
• Responsible being a coordinator between internal customer and external lab in case discussion is needed.
• Compliance to lab instruction, VA, APA and SOP, safe chemical handling.
• Adhere to Environmental, Safety and ESD compliance regulations.
• Participate in IFX user group meeting, i.e. Contributor for Best Practice Sharing.
• Ensure 5S in place while in the office and FA lab.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• PhD/Master/Degree holder in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Applied Science with major in Physics/Chemistry/Material Science.
• 3 years or more of hands-on experience in semiconductor failure analysis field.
• Working familiarity with analysis tools like SEM/EDX and sample preparation tools like polisher/grinder.
• Good fundamental knowledge of semiconductor devices and structure.

• Responsibilities:
  • To prepare project budget and material quantity, regularly review and update management on the budgeted cost during implementation of the project to ensure cost within budget for the project.
  • To prepare progress payment certificate to sub-contractors base on work done certified by consultant and work done carried out on site.
  • To evaluate sub-contractors’ bid and analyse costing before recommending award of any job to sub-contractors.
  • To prepare submission of interim progress claim and ensure work done is certified timely and accurately by client / main contractor through site evaluation.
  • To attend site visit and site meeting as and when required.
  • To prepare for site measurement, taking off quantity and source for quotation.
  • To liaise with consultant on final payment valuation and certificate of making good defect.

  • To ensure submission of progress claims and final account are prepared on time.
  • Responsible for variation orders and calling quotation.
  • Assist in tender activities if required.

You will assist the Senior Manager or Head of Department to facilitate in the design and planning process from various stages of the property development and project lifecycle. You are required to participate fully in coordination, monitoring and control the upstream processes of the property development value chain, i.e. the planning and design aspects of the development. You are expected to support close coordination and liaison with other internal departments (i.e. Sales and Marketing, Project Management) and external consultants to deliver high quality final product to the customer within approved budget and in accordance with company’s approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

1. Support the marketing function in product development and innovation as well as competitive benchmarking. To identify potential design improvements to develop innovative products and differentiate product positioning that enhance profit margin and improve sales.
2. To prepare Request for Fee Proposal (RFP) in the engagement of design and planning consultants (Planners, Architects, Landscape Architects, Interior Designers etc.).
3. To research and make recommendations for the appointment of design consultants. Manage and guide consultants in all matters relating to planning, design & development.
4. To formulate project design brief and coordinate with consultants on all design matters.
5. To assist in technical feasibility study, site evaluation, initial conceptual modelling and what-if analysis for all potential land to be acquired.
6. To liaise with the relevant authorities on the prevailing planning and design guidelines imposed and their impact on the feasibility of projects.
7. To support the project management function on technical trouble shooting and alternative design solutions to facilitate the project delivery process.
8. Other responsibilities include:

• Prepare design summary reports for Management reviews and other company related activities
